Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 5th February we've Greg Englert back again with us on trumpet lead with Bradley Newman on piano and Chris Gentle on drums....

It was some years since we'd invited Greg Englert back to lead the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and he was with us late last year and we had a great night of traditional jazz...so he's back leading the band this coming Friday 5th February with Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano and Chris Gentle is with us on drums......
The add to the Bridge City JB regulars to make a nice 7 piece traditional jazz band...John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
come join us for a great night of listening and dancing.....

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
Best of all the admission is FREE....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...
