Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....Club Ashfield while re-opening on Mon.11th October 2021 after the long lockdown is not immediately restarting jazz ..... the Club has jazz to start again on Friday 12th November 2021...joining the Bridge City JB regulars on the night is Greg Englert on trumpet, Bradley Newman on piano & Graham Hilgendorf on drums.... Come celebrate a great night of traditional jazz...

Greg Englert leads the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield  when it re-opens for Jazz shortly on  Friday 12th  November 2021 with other special guests Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano & Graham Hilgendorf on drums...joining the Bridge City JB regulars Mike Hallam on trombone, Jack Wiard on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass & Dennis Quinlan on banjo....

To enter the Club you need to be double vaccinated & have the correct method of showing this.... I've attached a sheet for your reference. A letter from your doctor indicating you are double vaccinated is not legal & if you have only this you will need to visit a Medicare office...this could take an hour... .... likely no dancing for the moment as the dance floor will seat some of the band.. come back and visit us for a great night of traditional jazz with a strong Louis Armstrong "flavour"......

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Grand Stella Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....

 With the lockdown changing for Sydney on the 11th October, the news for the Bridge City Jazz Band & its gig at Club Ashfield is we will not resume playing until after December 1st. The Club's Board has made the decision. I hope we will re-start on the Friday 3rd December.....
