Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band......... and on Friday 6th January 2023, the first jazz night at Club Ashfield in 2023 we have Greg Englert on trumpet lead , with Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano, & Laurie Bennett on drums....

 This coming Friday 6th January 2023... the first night of jazz in 2023 for the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield we have Greg Englert playing trumpet lead with  Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano and Laurie Bennett on the bands drum kit.... 

They join the Bridge City JB regulars.... Mike Hallam on trombone, Jack Wiard on reeds, Colin Davies & myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo .

A great night of traditional jazz to start  the year 2023....

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Grand Stella Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....

Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band......... and on Friday 23rd December 2022, the last jazz night at Club Ashfield in 2022 we have David Ridyard on soprano sax lead, with Robbie Mann on the Club's grand piano, Stan Valacos on double bass & Laurie Bennett on drums....

This coming Friday 23rd December... the last night of jazz in 2022 for the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield we have Dave Ridyard playing soprano sax/clarinet lead with  Robbie Mann on the Club's grand piano, Stan Valacos on double bass and Laurie Bennett on the bands drum kit.... 

They join the Bridge City JB regulars.... Mike Hallam on trombone, Jack Wiard on reeds & myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo complete with Santa suit!

A great night of traditional jazz to finish off the year 2022....

Note there is no jazz a Club Ashfield on Friday 30th December 2022..... the band returns in 2023 on Friday 6th January...

 This coming Friday 16th December 2022 at Club Ashfield .... we've leading the band  Mike Hallam on trumpet lead,  with Tony Gardner on the Club's grand piano, Eric Gibbons on trombone  and Joel Davis on drums....
