Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band......... and on Friday 7th April 2023, which is Easter Good Friday at Club Ashfield the Club is closed completely for the day, so there is no jazz.... it returns on the Friday 14th April 2023 when we have George Washingmachine on jazz violin lead with Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano & Joel on drums....

 As this coming Friday 7th April 2023 is Easter Good Friday, Club Ashfield ( The Ashfield Catholic & Community Club Ltd) is Closed all day & there is NO Jazz.

This coming Friday 31^st March 2023... for the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield we have Paul Furniss playing soprano sax lead with  Robbie Mann on the Club's grand piano and Geoff Allen on drums...

They join the Bridge City JB regulars.... Mike Hallam on trombone, Jack Wiard on reeds, Colin Davies & myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo . 

It is likely we'll have Mel Wishart, the late Colin Beal's niece who will come for a sit-in using one of Colin's clarinets...

A great night of traditional jazz for 2023....

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Grand Stella Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....
