Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 22nd January we've that great jazz violinist George Washingmachine at the Club to lead the band with Gary Walford on the piano and Graham Hilgendorf on drums....

George Washingmachine is a popular jazz artist around Sydney and in Cuba as it turns out as he was in Havana over Christmas playing jazz....
Well he's back at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 22nd January 2016 with his buddy Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano and tasteful drummer Graham Hilgendorf on the drum stool...these are the special guest for the night with the Bridge City JB regulars, John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and Dennis Quinlan on banjo....

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
Best of all the admission is FREE....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...
