Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday ...and this coming Friday the 21st December 2018 has The Canberra Duo back..Tony Thomas on tpt lead, Ron Cook on the Club's grand piano with Chris Gentle on drums...

The Canberra Duo are back....! And they will play with us this coming Friday 21st December 2018...at Club Ashfield ....Tony Thomas on trumpet lead, Ron Cook on piano, Chris Gentle on drums, .....they join the Bridge City Jazz Band regulars  ...Colin Beal, reeds, Colin Davies double bass and Dennis Quinlan on banjo, Mike Hallam on trombone.
As well we'll be playing on Sat.22nd December 2019 2-5pm at Penrith RSL Club.... come join us...

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....

This coming Friday 14th December 2018 at Club Ashfield, we've Dave Ridyard leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on soprano saxophone featuring another of his "Celebration of 1920's Jazz"...Brad Newman's on the Club's grand piano, Jim Morrell on drums   .....linking up with the Bridge City JB regulars.... Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo.........

Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday ...and this coming Friday the 7th December 2018 has Jiri Kripac, affectionately known as "the bouncing Czech" on trumpet lead, Gordon Brown on piano and Joel Davis on drums.....

This coming Friday, 7th December 2018, sees Jiri Kripac back leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on trumpet at Club Ashfield together with Gordon Brown on piano and Joel Davis on drums...
The regular BCJB players join them to make the 7 piece traditional jazz band... Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass & Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
As usual...a great foot tapping night of jazz assured....

Bruce Johnson is our trumpet lead for the night, Friday 30.11.2018, at Club Ashfield....welcome Bruce, Monique Lysiak  on the Club's grand piano , Dave Ridyard on reeds, and  Al Davey on drums....together with the Bridge City Jazz Band regulars Colin Davies on double bass, myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo,  and  Mike Hallam  on trombone.
