Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday ...and this coming Friday the 7th February 2020 sees Paul Furniss on soprano sax lead with Robbie Mann on the Club's grand piano & Lawrie Thompson on our drumkit....

Paul Furniss will lead off the forthcoming night at Club Ashfield on Friday 7th  February 2020 with pianist Robbie Mann on the Club's grand piano, and Lawrie Thompson on drums ... all in the band with Bridge City regulars .. Colin Davies double bass, Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Beal on reeds.. and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo...
Sure to be some clarinet duets.....

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....

Mike Hallam moves  on to trumpet lead for this coming Bridge City Jazz Band gig at Club Ashfield on Friday 24th January 2020, Bradley Newman on piano, Eric Gibbons on trombone and Craig Lee on drums....
They join the regular Bridge City Jazz Band members... Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo
Mike's on his favourite instrument so expect a great night...!

This coming Friday, 17th January 2020 at Club Ashfield we've Pam Withnall on soprano sax and reeds lead with Gordon Brown on piano,  and Chris Gentle on drums, joining the Bridge City Jazz Band regulars  Colin Beal on reeds, Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Davies on double bass and Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
A night of great traditional jazz for dancing, listening and of course New Year cheer....
