Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 7th August 2015 we've Geoff Bull leading the band with Brad Newman on the Club's grand piano and Graham Hilgendorf on drums ....

We've a night that'll take you back to the early days of jazz in New Orleans with Geoff Bull on trumpet lead with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 7th August 2015....Brad Newman is on the Club's grand piano and Graham Hilgendorf on the bands drumkit....
Together with the other Bridge City Jazz Band regulars...Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass, John Bates on trombone and vocals and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo we've a swinging New Orleans oriented traditional jazz band.....

  Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....
