Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 21st August 2015 its good to have Bill Dudley back leading the band on cornet with Gary Walford on the club's grand piano and Chris Gentle on drums....

Bill Dudley is with us this coming Friday 21st August at Club Ashfield leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on cornet, and is one of the last few times we'll see him playing in Sydney with he and Lynn Scarrow relocating to Cairns in north Queensland around mid October....
Gary Walford is on piano and Chris Gentle on drums complementing the Bridge City JB regulars, Colin Beal on reeds, John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo......

Always a great exciting night of traditional jazz.....

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....
