Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 7th February 2014 sees Super jazz violinist George Washingmachine lead the band with Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano and Neil Macbeth on drums....

We've George Washingmachine back to lead the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 7th February....in the Stephane Grapelli mould, a super jazz violinist, coupled with Gary Walford on the piano and Neil Macbeth on drums with the regular Bridge City guys, John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo the night promises to "swing like a dunny door in a southerly...!!!"

At Club Ashfield, 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield, beside Ashfield Railway Station on the northern/Parramatta road side, up in the Club's first floor in the bistro/function area...7.30pm to 10.30pm....
