Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 31st January 2014 sees Bill Dudley, Carolyn Packer and Chris Gentle join the band for the evening....

Bill Dudley a band leader in his own right, running the New Orleanians at The Evening Star Hotel near Central Railway Station Sunday afternoons and he leads the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 31st January, 7.30pm to 10.30pm on cornet and vocals and joining him on piano is Carolyn Packer with Chris Gentle on drums.... the usual Bridge City guys make up the band...John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Davies on double bass, myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo and Colin Beal on clarinet and alto saxophone....
