Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....GOOD NEWS! Club Ashfield open again for Trad. Jazz with the Bridge City Jazz Band this Friday 26th February 2021... as the usual 7 piece format, with special guests for the night.... The super Jazz violinist George Washingmachine leading the band, Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano & Laurie Bennett on drums...

Crikey it's over a year since we've seen George Washingmachine at Club Ashfield with the Covid lockdown.... he's leading the Bridge City Jazz Band this coming Friday 26th February 2021 with Bradley Newman on piano & Laurie Bennett on the bands drum kit as our special guests...

They are playing with the BCJB regulars, Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Davies on double bass, Jack Wiard on reeds & Dennis Quinlan on banjo.....   a night of swinging traditional jazz assured....

Still no dancing.....

But a great night of listening....










Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....
