Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 30th October we've the Canberra duo back in Sydney with us...Tony Thomas on trumpet lead and Ron Cook on the Club's grand piano with special guest drummer Joel Davis on the drum stool...

The Bridge City Jazz Band always enjoy having the Canberra Duo of Tony Thomas ( trumpet lead) and Ron Cook ( piano) with the tasteful drummer Joel Davis join the band for a great evenings entertainment of traditional jazz this coming Friday 30th October at Club Ashfield ...
Usual Bridge City JB regulars are Colin Beal, reeds, John Bates trombone/vocals, Colin Davies double bass and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
The night will swing like a dunny door in a southerly buster....!!

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
Best of all the admission is FREE....
