Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 6th November we've Geoff Power on cornet lead, Peter Locke on piano and Joel Davis on drums....

One of the busiest traditional jazz musicians in Sydney is Geoff Power, so its always good have his booked for Club Ashfield with him leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on cornet, especially when we've such a good pianist as Peter Locke with us on the Club's grand piano and Joel Dais..."Mr Smoothie" on drums.. all as the three special guests joining the Bridge City JB regulars, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds, John Bates on trombone and vocals and Dennis Quinlan on banjo.....

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
