Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 26th June 2015 we've a big Birthday Bash for jazz pianist Peter Locke who is 60!! Leading the band will be Geoff Power on trumpet with Graham Hilgendorf on drums....

Well Peter Locke celebrates his 60th birthday with some of his muso friends, others and the general audience at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 26th June 2015 and the Bridge City Jazz Band.
Leading the band will be Geoff Power on trumpet  and our other special guest on drums is Graham Hilgendorf.....
They join the Bridge City Jazz Band regulars...John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and Dennis Quinlan on banjo....

The usual large birthday cake as well and of course a large A3 birthday card covered with pics of Peter's life and space for those present to say some nice words....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...

 Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....
