Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 12th June 2015 we've Bill Dudley on cornet lead, Brad Newman on the Club's grand piano, Gary Kohrmann on double bass and Jim Morrell on drums...

Big Bad Bill's back with us on cornet lead this coming Friday 12th June at Club Ashfield...Bill Dudley is always popular with our audience and he's joined by Bead Newman on the Club's grand piano, and with Colin Davies away Gary Kohrmann is on double bass and Jim Morrell on drums.....
Joining with them are the Bridge City Jazz Band regulars, John Bates on trombone and vocals...Colin Beal on alto sax and clarinet and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
I betcha the place swings like a dunny door in a southerly!!

Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....
