Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 19th June 2015 we've Al Davey leading the band with Peter Locke on the Club's grand piano and Graham Hilgendorf on drums....

Al Davey is back with us leading the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 19th June 2015 with super jazz pianist Peter Locke on piano and tasteful drummer Graham Hilgendorf making up the three special guests on the night playing with the Bridge City JB regulars, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds, John Bates on trombone and vocals and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
Al's sure to have his trombone and Pete his trumpet, so the sit-in set will be interesting...

Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....
