Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 29th August 2014,we've the Canberra duo playing for us... Tony Thomas on trumpet with Ron Cook on the Club's grand piano and Chris Gentle on drums....

We are always happy to have the Canberra duo, Tony Thomas and Ron Cook, formerly from the Black Mountain Jazz Band, play for us as the special guest with the Bridge City Jazz Band.
Tony on trumpet lead and vocals and Ron Cook on Club Ashfield's grand piano and we have Chris Gentle on drums as the other special guest...
The regular band members, John Bates, trombone/vocals; Colin Davies, double bass; myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo and Colin Beal, clarinet and alto saxophone make up the Bridge City Jazz band for the forthcoming Friday...29th August.....

Club Ashfield...... it's at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway Station on the northern/Parramatta Road side... gig is on the first floor in the bistro/function area, 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
