Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 20th June 2014, we've a big birthday bash celebration for Mike Hallam who'se 80! As well he will play trumpet lead with Frank Watts on piano and Craig Lee on drums...

Mike Hallam, who regularly plays trumpet lead for us at Club Ashfield turns 80 around next Friday 20th June, so we've a special night arranged for him...A Bridge City Jazz Band Birthday Bash....
Mike will play trumpet lead with good friend Frank Watts on the Club's grand piano and stepson Craig Lee on the drum kit....
Regular Bridge City JB members, John Bates, Colin Davies, Colin Beal and myself Dennis Quinlan make up the seven piece jazz band, although throughout the night there is likely to be muso friends drop in for a sit-in....
