Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 6th June 2014, sees Geoff Bull back leading the band with Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano, Paul Furniss on reeds and Graham Hilgendorf on drums...

It was only two weeks back that we welcomed Geoff Bull, Gary Walford and Graham Hilgendorf as the special guests of the Bridge City Jazz band and we're pleased to have them back this coming Friday, 6th June 2014 but with Paul Furniss on reeds replacing Colin Beal who is down in Merimbula for the Jazz Festival....
With them of course is John Bates, Colin Davies and myself Dennis Quinlan....

A likely plan will be to play some of the music from the recently released CD by Kate Dunbar of the Clarence Williams Tribute Concert held by the Sydney Jazz Club on May 24th 1995.....the band then was lead by Geoff Bull....
sounds like a super reason for you to come along to Club Ashfield, 5 Charlotte Street Ashfield, beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side...up on the first floor bistro/function area with the gig starting 7.30pm through to 10.30pm.....
