Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 2nd May 2014,Geoff Power leads the band with Kym Till on piano, Joel Davis on drums and sharing the night on banjo is Cliff Parsons...

With Easter and Anzac Day behind us, we can settle in at Club Ashfield to provide you with some of the best traditional Jazz around...The Bridge City Jazz Band regulars are joined by special guests Geoff Power on trumpet lead, Kym Till on piano, Joel Davis on drums and two banjos myself and Cliff Parsons. John Bates is on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on alto sax and clarinet, Colin Davis on double bass and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo with Cliff Parsons from the second set.
Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway Station on the northern or Parramatta Road side, with the gig on the first floor in the bistro/function area and commencing 7.30pm through to 10.30pm....great food in the bistro, drinks at Club prices and all this is FREE...
