Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 25th April 2014, while ANZAC DAY, we'll see Al Davey lead the band on trumpet with Gary Walford on piano and Jim Morrell on drums.... ,

Last week saw Club Ashfield closed on Good Friday and while this coming Friday the 25th April is Anzac Day, the Bridge City Jazz band is back in action with Al Davey leading the band on trumpet, Gary Walford "tickling the ivories" on the Club's grand piano and evergreen Jim Morrell back on drums....they join the regular Bridge city Jazz Band members...Dennis Quinlan on banjo, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds and John Bates on trombone/vocals.....
Always a great night of traditional jazz....

5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway Station on the northern or Parramatta road side...the gig is on the first floor bistro/function area, 7.30pm to 10.30pm..
