Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 11th April 2014 sees Mike Hallam leading on trumpet, Andrew Kitchen on piano, Craig Lee on drums and Kym Till on valve trombone...

Well Mike's back...! We've Mike Hallam leading the Bridge City Jazz Band this Friday 11th April with Andrew Kitchen on Club Ashfield's grand piano, Craig Lee on drums and as John Bates is elsewhere we asked Kym Till to play valve trombone for us....
Should be an interesting night as Mike also plays trombone and Kym plays trumpet, they'll have both there on the night so should be some interesting swapping and duet playing....
The regular Bridge city Jazz Band members, Colin Davies on double bass, myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo and Colin Beal on reeds will complement them...

...5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield, beside Ashfield Railway Staion on the northern or Parramatta Road side.....gig is on the first floor of the Club in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm...
