Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 21st February 2014 sees the combined Black Mountain and Bridge City Jazz Band together again with Tony Thomas on trumpet lead, Ron Cook on the Club's grand piano and Ian Hill on drums...then on the Sunday 23rd February 2-5pm, the band performs at the Central Coast Leagues Club with a three banjo feature in the second set...

A big weekend coming up for those of you who appreciate great New Orleans style jazz and who follow the combined Black Mountain and Bridge City Jazz Band when they play together and they're together at Club Ashfield on this Friday 21st February, 7.30pm to 10.30pm...Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield, beside the Ashfield railway station, up on the first floor of the Club in the bistro/function area....
Tony Thomas leads the band on trumpet together with Ron Cook on the Club's grand piano...both up from Canberra and up from the south coast is Ian Hill on drums.... as usual they are joined by Colin Beal on reeds, John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....






On the Sunday the 23rd, 2-5pm, the band performs at the Central Coast Leagues Club in Dane Drive, Gosford.....
Joining the band in the second set are well known banjoists, Bill McLean and Cliff Parson for a three banjo special....
