Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....GOOD NEWS! Club Ashfield open again for Trad. Jazz with the Bridge City Jazz Band this Friday 12th March 2021... as the usual 7 piece format, with special guests for the night.... leading on trumpet is Mike Hallam with Alan Davey on trombone, Bradley Newman on piano & Graham Hilgendorf on drums

Mike Hallam is the Bridge City Jazz Bands trombone player but an excellent trumpet player as well & this coming Friday 12th March 2021 at Club Ashfield he'll lead the band on trumpet with Al Davey on trombone, Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano and Graham Hilgendorf on the bands drum kit.

They are the bands special guests for the night, joining BCJB regulars Colin Davies on double bass, Jack Wiard on reeds & Dennis Quinlan on banjo....

The band could have a Louis Armstrong feel on the night...!

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Grand Stella Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...
