Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 29th September 2017 we've Al Davey on trumpet lead, Gary Walford on piano and Chris Gentle on the bands drum kit....

Al Davey is a great trumpet player as well as trombonist...you often see him at Club Ashfield playing trombone for us when Mike Hallam is away leading his own band somewhere....we've got Al leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on  trumpet this coming Friday 29th September 2017 with Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano and Chris Gentle on our drumkit...they join the Bridge City JB regulars...Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
Sure to be some instrument swapping between Al and Mike during the night to add some flavour  to the nights entertainment....
