Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 22nd September 2017 we've Geoff Power on tpt lead with Bradley Newman on piano and Joel Davis on drums....

Geoff Power is a busy Sydney musician who plays Australia wide, so it's great when we can organise him to come and lead the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield...he's with us this coming Friday 22nd September 2017 with Bradley Newman on the club's grand piano and Joel Davis on the bands drum kit....
The are supported by the BCJB regulars....Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo...

Geoff will be at Club Ashfield on Wed.4th October 2017 with his wonderful Great Gatsby Orchestra, an 11 piece group full of young talent....same time as our Friday gig...7.30pm to 10.30pm...only $15 admission...

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
