Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 4th December we've Al Davey back on trumpet lead and likely some trombone in the sit-in set, Kym till on piano and Chris Gentle on drums.....

Al Davey is a wizz on both trumpet and trombone and we've got him leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on trumpet this coming Friday 4th December 2015 at Club Ashfield with Kym Till on the Club's grand piano and Chris Gentle on drums all special guests with the Bridge City JB regulars...Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds, John Bates on trombone and vocals and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
always a great night of traditional jazz and what is considered to be the home of traditional jazz in Sydney....Club Ashfield...

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....  
Best of all the admission is FREE....
