Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 11th December we've the Canberra trio back for their last gig with us for the year....Tony Thomas on trumpet/vocals, Ron Cook on piano and Ian Hill on drums....

The second last gig for the year with the Bridge City Jazz band as special guests sees the guys down from Canberra to join us....tony Thomas on trumpet lead and vocals, Ron Cook on the Club Ashfield grand piano and Ian Hill on the drum kit....joined by the Bridge City JB regulars, Colin Beal, reeds; Colin Davies, double bass; John Bates on trombone and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo.....
Be a great night of New Orleans influenced traditional jazz.....
Usual venue....Club Ashfield....


 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....  
Best of all the admission is FREE....
