Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 11th September we've Geoff Bull on trumpet, Gary Walford on piano and Joel Davis on drums....

Always pleased to have Geoff Bull come along to Club Ashfield to lead the Bridge City Jazz Band on trumpet with his distinctly New Orleans style......
Gary Walford is on the Club's grand piano and Joel Davis, "Mr Smoothie" on the drum stool...
The usual Bridge City Jazz Band members complement them....John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....
