Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 25th September popular Jazz violinist George Washingmachine is with us leading the band with an old mate, Gary Walford on piano and another, Graham Hilgendorf on drums....

George Washingmachine is a busy Sydney jazz musician and we always like to fit in with his exciting schedule...well he's at Club Ashfield leading the Bridge City Jazz Band this coming Friday 25th September 2015 with another two special guests both mates of George....Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano and Graham Hilgendorf on the drum stool....coupled with the Bridge city regulars Colin Beal on reeds, John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo a great night of swinging jazz is assured....

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....
