Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 29th May 2015...yep its Geoff Bull one of Australia's greatest New Orleans music exponents on trumpet lead with Gary Walford on piano and Jim Morrell on drums...

Geoff Bull all his musical life has been a proponent of the New Orleans style of Jazz and he's here again leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on trumpet at Club Ashfield, so the night is sure to have that New Orleans flavour....musically....
Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano aptly fits in with Geoff as does Jim Morrell on drums...
The Bridge City Jazz Band regulars, John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo always look forward to melding into a tight seven piece jazz band with the special guests....

 Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....
