Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 24th April 2015...we've a 65th birthday bash....Bill Dudley's on cornet lead and he's 65! Gary Walford is on the Club's grand piano with Jimmy Fletcher on drums.....

Well he's finally made it....Bill Dudley's 65....!!!
The Bridge City Jazz Band are running a big birthday bash for him this coming Friday 24th April 2015 at Club Ashfield....Bill will lead the band on cornet, with Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano and Jimmy Fletcher on the bands drum kit.....the regular Bridge City Jazz Band guys join them....John Bates, trombone and vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double Bass and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo.....
It will be a wow of a night...selected sit-ins...a big A3 card with photos of Bills life for you to look at and make a few nice comments and of course the large birthday cake we always have.....

 Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....
