Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 10th April 2015...we've Kym Till on trumpet lead,Monique Lysiak on piano, Mike Hallam on trombone and Joel Davis on drums......

Kym Till is perhaps better known as a jazz pianist but he's equally at home on trumpet lead and he leads the Bridge City Jazz Band this coming Friday 10th April 2015 at Club Ashfield with "unique" Monique Lysiak on the club's grand piano and with JB away playing elsewhere Mike Hallam is on the trombone chair with Joel Davis on drums for us....
An interesting evening as Kym will likely do a few numbers on piano with Mike on swapping to trumpet.....
Complementing them are the regular Bridge City Jazz Band regulars....Colin Davies on double Bass, Colin Beal on reeds and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo.....
Intrigued?....Come along for a great night of traditional jazz...

Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...
