Its been some years since the Bridge City Jazz Band has run a two trumpet front line at Club Ashfield...likely the last was with the late, sadly missed John Wilson and Geoff Bull on trumpet lead..... Well we are running another this coming Friday 17th April 2015 featuring Bob Barnard and Al Davey on the trumpet lead...perhaps a "west coast" number or two...? Peter Locke is on the Club's grand piano, Paul Furniss on additional reeds, Jim Morrell on drums with the regular Bridge City personnel, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass, John Bates on trombone and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo.... a 9 piece band! You wont see this often in Sydney or elsewhere for that matter..... Put it in your diary....see you on the night....

Kym Till is perhaps better known as a jazz pianist but he's equally at home on trumpet lead and he leads the Bridge City Jazz Band this coming Friday 10th April 2015 at Club Ashfield with "unique" Monique Lysiak on the club's grand piano and with JB away playing elsewhere Mike Hallam is on the trombone chair with Joel Davis on drums for us.... An interesting evening as Kym will likely do a few numbers on piano with Mike on swapping to trumpet..... Complementing them are the regular Bridge City Jazz Band regulars....Colin Davies on double Bass, Colin Beal on reeds and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo..... Intrigued?....Come along for a great night of traditional jazz...
