Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 13th February 2015, we've that multi instrumentalist Al Davey on trumpet lead with super jazz pianist Peter Locke on the Club's grand piano and "Mr Smoothie", Lawrie Thompson on drums...what a night is shaping up...!

Al Davey is equally at home on jazz trumpet or trombone, but this coming Friday 13th February 2015 at Club Ashfield we've got him leading the Bridge City Jazz Band with other special guests, Peter Locke on piano and Lawrie Thompson on drums...
The usual Bridge City Jazz Band guys complement them....Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass, myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo and John Bates on trombone/vocals....

Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...
