Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 27th February 2015...we've Geoff Bull on trumpet, Bradley Newman on piano, and Graham Hilgendorf on drums....

Geoff Bull is a great New Orleans style trumpet player and always in demand, especially in Japan which he visits several times a year, so we're pleased to have him back at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 27th February 2015 with a last minute replacement for pianist Gary Walford in Bradley Newman who since playing with us in the Bridge City Jazz Band has developed into a really good jazz pianist and he's playing the Club's grand piano for us with Graham Hilgendorf on drums....with the rest of  the Bridge City Jazz Band regulars, John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo it will be a great night of swinging New Orleans style jazz.....
Shall we see you there....?

Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights.... Best of all the admission is FREE....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...
