Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 12th December 2014...we've the Canberra trio from the old Black Mountain Jazz Band...Tony Thomas on trumpet lead and vocals, Ron Cook on the Club's grand piano and Ian Hill on drums....

We've the Canberra trio from the old Black Mountain JB playing with us at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 12th December 2014 we are back to being The Black Mountain and Bridge City Jazz Band for the night.....
Tony Thomas is on trumpet lead and vocals, Ron Cook on the Club's grand piano, Ian Hill on the band drum kit, John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Beal on alto saxophone and clarinet, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
It will be a super night of New Orleans style traditional jazz for you...
If you are attending the 69th Australian Jazz Convention at Swan Hill on the Murray River, this band will be playing there for several sets.....


Club Ashfield is at 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
Best of all the admission is FREE....
