Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 25th July 2014, we've Paul Furniss on soprano sax lead with Monique Lysiak on piano and Laurie Bennett on drums, with a good chance visiting UK trumpeter Chas McDevitt will play a set...

In a few days, this coming Friday 25th July at Club Ashfield, we see Paul Furniss lead the Bridge City Jazz Band on soprano saxophone with Monique Lysiak on the Club's grand piano and Laurie Bennett on drums....
With UK trumpeter Chas McDevitt in town for a couple of weeks holiday it is likely he'll come along and play a set....they join the regular Bridge City Jazz Band members....John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
