Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....Club Ashfield is now open after the long lockdown ..... and on Friday 19th August 2022 we have Mike Hallam on trumpet lead, Al Davey on trombone, Ron Cook on piano & Ian Hill on drums...

 This coming Friday 19th August 2022 at Club Ashfield .... we've leading the band   Mike Hallam on trumpet lead,  with Ron Cook on the Club's grand piano, Al Davey on trombone and Ian Hill on drums .....

 They join the Bridge City Jazz Band regulars....  Colin Davies on double bass, Jack Wiard on reeds,  and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo...

A great night of traditional jazz... a prelude to the Newcastle Jazz Festival, tomorrow, Sat. 20th August 2022 with this band playing two sets.... 11.30pm to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 2.30pm.....

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Grand Stella Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....
