Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....GOOD NEWS! Club Ashfield open again for Trad. Jazz with the Bridge City Jazz Band .....This coming Friday `16th April 2021 has Al Davey replacing the jazz violinist George Washingmachine who retired ill & is back with us leading the band with Gary Walford on piano & Lawrie Bennett on drums....

Unfortunately George phoned me on Tuesday informing me he was unwell & had to withdraw from the forthcoming Friday 16th gig, so a call to Al Davey has him replaving George as lead....

On ya Al...!!

George Washingmachine is a popular jazz violinist & it's super to have him back at Club Ashfield on Friday 16th April 2021 leading the Bridge City Jazz Band with other special guests Gary Walford on piano & Lawrie Bennett on drums... they join the Bridge city JB regulars Colin Davies on double bass, myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo, Jack Wiard on reeds & Mike Hallam on trombone.....

Dancing still on....

As usual a great night of traditional jazz....

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Grand Stella Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at and other BCJB future gigs...Club Ashfield
