Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday ...and this coming Friday the 26th July 2019 we have Paul Furniss back on soprano sax lead with Bradley Newman on the Club grand piano and Jim Morrell on drums....

Paul Furniss will lead off the forthcoming night at Club Ashfield on Friday 5th  April 2019 with pianist Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano, and Lawrie Thompson on drums, sadly the booked drummer Jim Morrell is in Shoalhaven Hospital with medical issues... all in the band with Bridge City regulars .. Colin Davies double bass, Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Beal on reeds.. and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo...
Sure to be some clarinet duets.....

  Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
