Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday ...and this coming Friday the 5th July 2019 we welcome back Al Davey on trumpet lead, Robbie Mann on piano, Eric Gibbons on trombone, Ros Mayne on double bass and Chris Gentle on drums

Al Davey is a great trumpet player as well as trombonist...you often see him at Club Ashfield playing trombone for us when Mike Hallam is away leading his own band somewhere....we've got Al leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on  trumpet this coming Friday 5th July 2019 with Gordon Brown on the Club's grand piano, Eric Gibbons on trombone, Ros Mayne and Chris Gentle is on our drumkit, ...they join the Bridge City JB regulars...Colin Beal on reeds,  and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo...

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
