Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 3rd August 2018 sees Bill Dudley down from Cairns to lead the band on cornet, Carolyn Packer on boogie piano, and Jim Fletcher on drums...

Popular Sydney trumpet player and band leader Bill Dudley, now located in Cairns in far north Qld... returns to Club Ashfield this coming Friday 3rd  August 2018 to lead the Bridge City Jazz Band in league with one of his favourite piano players Carolyn Packer...
Making a return appearance on the drum stool for us is Bill's drummer, Jim Fletcher....
The usual Bridge City suspects make up the band...Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds, Mike Hallam on trombone and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo...
It will be a raging night of traditional jazz.....

On the Sat.4th...Bill, Carolyn & Jim will be with Bill's New Orleanians at the Austrian Club in Frenchs Forest around 8pm  ...booking could be essential...
And Sunday 5th as the same group at Central Coast Leagues Club, Dane Drive, Gosford, 2-5pm.















  Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...




  Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
