Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday ...and this coming Friday the 23rd March 2018 Al Davey's back with us on trumpet lead, Gary Walford on piano, Geoff Power on trombone and Graham Hilgendorf on drums...

Al Davey is a great trumpet player as well as trombonist...you often see him at Club Ashfield playing trombone for us when Mike Hallam is away leading his own band somewhere....we've got Al leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on  trumpet this coming Friday 23rd March 2018 with Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano and filling in for Mike Hallam we've Geoff Power on trombone, also a great trumpet player....and Graham Hilgendorf is on our drumkit...they join the Bridge City JB regulars...Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
