Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 27th May we've Al Davey on trumpet lead, Bradley Newman on piano, Stan Valacos on double bass and Graham Hilgendorf on drums....

Al Davey's back with us this coming Friday 27th May on trumpet lead at Club Ashfield and sure to bring a trombone for variety....
Leading the Bridge City Jazz Band, he's with three other special guests for the night...Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano, Stan Valacos on double bass and Graham Hilgendorf on drums.....they join the remaining Bridge city JB regulars, John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on alto sax and clarinet and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo.....
As usual a great night of traditional jazz.....

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....  

Best of all the admission is FREE....
