Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 19th February we've Al Davey on trumpet lead, Kym Till on piano and Joel Davis on drums....

Al Davey is a great trumpet and trombone player and he's back with us at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 19th Feb.2016 on trumpet lead with the Bridge city Jazz Band...no doubt he'll play some trombone in our sit-in set...Kym Till is on the Clubs grand piano and as he's a trumpet player will no doubt switch to it in the sit-in bracket...Joel Davis, back from a UK trip is on the drum stool with the Bridge City JB regulars, John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo...making a nice smooth seven piece traditional jazz band.....
Hope to see you on the night.....

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
Best of all the admission is FREE....
