Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 21st March 2014 sees Geoff Power leading the band with Carolyn Packer on piano and Jim Morrell on drums....

Geoff Power is one of the busiest traditional jazz trumpet players and band leaders in Sydney and we don't see enough of him at Club Ashfield these days, so it is great to have him back leading the Bridge City Jazz Band this Friday 21st March with boogie/woogie specialist Carolyn Packer on the Club's grand piano and evergreen Jim Morrell on drums.....these complementing the regular band members, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass, John Bates on trombone/vocals and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
