Gary Walford is also back playing the Club's grand piano with Jim Morrell on drums and with me away in Canada/USA, Cliff Parson takes over the banjo chair...

Geoff Power is one of the busiest traditional jazz trumpet players and band leaders in Sydney and we don't see enough of him at Club Ashfield these days, so it is great to have him back leading the Bridge City Jazz Band this Friday 21st March with boogie/woogie specialist Carolyn Packer on the Club's grand piano and evergreen Jim Morrell on drums.....these complementing the regular band members, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass, John Bates on trombone/vocals and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
A night not really to be missed....

Mike Hallam joins us this coming Friday 14th March 2014 to lead the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield on trumpet, but sure as eggs he'll have his trombone and several harmonicas with him.....
Andrew Kitchen is a regular pianist for Kate Dunbar's Singers workshop every Tuesday evening at Mengen Sofrasi restaurant in Glebe Point Road and is with us on piano and Mike's stepson Craig Lee plays drums....
Coupled with the regular Bridge City Jazz band members who really need no introduction, the night will be a swinging trad. jazz affair....John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double Bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo.
