Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 8th November 2013 we've Bob Henderson on trumpet lead with Gary Walford on piano and Graham Hilgendorf on drums....

Been a long time since we've had Bob Henderson at Club Ashfield and we are, as a band, looking forward to his leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on this coming Friday 8th November 2013.
Gary Walford is on Club Ashfield's grand piano and Graham Hilgendorf on drums....the "usual suspects" make up the band for the night- Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on alto saxophone and clarinet, John Bates on trombone and vocals and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo...

Where is Club Ashfield..... 5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield, beside Ashfield Railway Station on the northern or Parramatta Road side....the gig is on the Club's first floor bistro/function area starting at 7.30pm through to 10.30pm and admission is FREE...
